GTA VI arrives on November 19, 2026, and the same questions keep coming up. Below are the quick answers, checked against Rockstar and Take-Two on October 9, 2026. Where something is only a report, we say so. Where nobody knows, we say that too.
GTA VINovember 19, 2026Release and platforms
When does GTA 6 come out? November 19, 2026. On which consoles? PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It is not a PS4 or Xbox One game. Is there a PC version? Not announced. Rockstar lists only the two consoles, so any PC date you see is a guess. Our PC page tracks it. What time does it unlock? See the launch time guide for time zones, and always check your own console store.
Price and editions
How much does it cost? The Standard Edition is listed at $79.99 / €79.99 / £69.99 and the Ultimate Edition at $99.99 / €99.99 / £89.99. Is a disc included? Physical editions come with a download code, so you download the game either way. When can I pre-load? From November 12, 2026. What bonuses come with pre-orders? The Vintage Vice City Pack, and on digital orders one month of GTA+. Prices vary by country, so the details are on the editions page and in the pre-order guide.
Story, world and characters
Who are the main characters? Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval. See the character guide. Where is it set? The fictional state of Leonida, which includes Vice City. The locations guide and the map guide explain what has been shown. How big is the map? Rockstar has not given a size, so any number is a fan estimate.
Online, PC mods and roleplay
Does GTA 6 have online multiplayer at launch? No online mode has been announced, and the ESRB listing carries no online label. GTA Online for GTA V continues separately. Read what Rockstar has said. Will there be FiveM servers for GTA 6? Nothing is announced, and FiveM needs a PC game. See the roleplay guide.
Rating, kids and safety
What is the age rating? ESRB M (Mature 17+), and PEGI 18 in store listings. Is it for kids? No. Parents can use our parents guide. Are there fake downloads? Yes, many. There is no way to download GTA 6 early, and sites that say otherwise are scams. Read the scams guide.
Technical questions
What frame rate does it run at? Press previews reported 30 FPS on consoles, but Rockstar has not published a spec. How big is the install? Not announced. Does it support PS5 Pro? PlayStation lists "PS5 Pro Enhanced" without details. More in the performance and preload guide and the console versions guide.
Before launch
What should I do now? Follow the launch day checklist, free up storage, and watch the two official trailers and the Extended Look. While you wait, you can still play GTA V roleplay on live servers.
