Roleplay players keep asking one thing: will GTA VI have FiveM servers? The honest answer today is that nobody outside Rockstar knows. This guide lists the confirmed facts, the reports and the unknowns, checked on October 9, 2026.
Key takeaways
- Cfx.re, the FiveM and RedM team, joined Rockstar in August 2023.
- GTA VI is only announced for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with no PC version, and FiveM needs a PC game.
- Rockstar published mod guidelines on September 10, 2026. They do not name GTA VI.
- Rockstar and the NoPixel server announced NoPixel V for GTA V in September 2026.
What is confirmed
On August 11, 2023, Cfx.re announced it was joining Rockstar. Rockstar said it wanted to support the roleplay community and improve services for developers and players. Cfx.re said day-to-day work would not change much. FiveM and RedM remain active, and Rockstar's newswire says they host large roleplay and creator communities.
What happened in 2026
In September 2026, Rockstar's mod guidelines were posted. As reported by GTA Intel and Inven Global, they limit multiplayer modding to Rockstar's official Creator Platform, ban cheat tools for online services, and allow selling only through that platform. The reports say GTA VI is not named, so any link to it is an inference. Read the official page yourself before relying on a summary.
Also in 2026, NME and Dexerto reported that NoPixel V, a rebuilt version of the big GTA V server, started a closed beta on September 8 through the Rockstar Games Launcher. It is for GTA V, not GTA VI.
