Searches for 'GTA 6 delayed again' grew by about 60 percent worldwide in the last 24 hours, according to Google Trends, and Rockstar's delay appears among the fastest-rising queries. We looked for a source behind it. We did not find any report that Rockstar has moved the date a third time.
The official position has not changed. GTA VI launches on November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The date was set after two delays: the game was first aimed at fall 2025, then May 26, 2026, then November 19, 2026. Pre-orders have been open since June 25 and pre-load is expected on November 12.
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick addressed delay talk in May. GameLuster, citing an IGN interview, reported him saying that the release date is November 19. GameRevolution reported that on the Founders podcast he said 'November 19th. I do know.' and tied the earlier delays to quality and polish.
A likely cause of the search spike is the flood of coverage around Bloomberg's extended report this week, along with the memory of the two earlier delays. Searching 'delay' after a big report is common, even when nothing has changed.
Our take: with 35 days left and pre-orders live, a new delay would be a very large surprise, and nothing we found points to one. Treat unsourced delay posts with caution. If Rockstar changes anything, it will announce it on Rockstar Newswire, and we will update the release-date guide and this page.
