All GTA 5 cheats in 2026: every code for PC, PS5, Xbox and the phone

GTA 5 came out on September 17, 2013, and over a decade later people still load up Los Santos just to mess around with cheats. Whether you play on PC, PS5, PS4 or Xbox, every cheat below works in story mode, and you can enter them three different ways.

How to enter GTA 5 cheats (3 ways)

Rockstar gave you options, so pick the one that suits your setup:

1. PC console: press the ~ key (tilde, just below Esc) to open the cheat box, type the code word and hit Enter.
2. Button combos: on PlayStation or Xbox, punch in the sequence quickly during gameplay. If you are too slow or hit a wrong button, just start again.
3. In-game phone: open your phone, go to Contacts, open the keypad and dial the number. This works on every platform and is the easiest way to avoid fumbling long combos.

All GTA 5 cheat codes

Here is the full list of player and world cheats, with the PC code, the PlayStation and Xbox combos and the phone number for each one.

A few of these behave in special ways. Slow motion cycles through three levels: enter it once for a little slow-mo, again for more, a third time for the slowest speed, and once more to switch it off. Most other cheats work like a switch too: enter them again to turn them off.

Vehicle spawn cheats

Need a ride right now? These codes drop a vehicle next to you, from a golf caddy to a Buzzard attack helicopter.

Three vehicle cheats have one extra step. The Dodo seaplane, the Duke O'Death and the Kraken submarine have to be unlocked first: the Dodo comes from the Sea Plane random event, the Duke O'Death from the Duel random event, and the Kraken from the Wildlife Photography challenge. They don't have a button combo, so use the PC console or the phone.

One more thing: some websites list a slightly different combo for the Rapid GT. If one combo doesn't work for you, the phone number is the safe bet.

The rules: what cheats can't do

Before you go wild, know the catches:

• Story mode only. Cheats do not work in GTA Online, and using mods or hacks there can get your account banned.
• No achievements or trophies for that session once you use a cheat. Reload your save (without cheats) to switch them back on.
• Some missions block cheats. If nothing happens, you are probably in one of them.
• No money cheat. GTA 5 has never had one. Money comes from playing: missions and heists.
• No tank cheat. Unlike older GTA games, there is no code to spawn a tank.
• No Space Docker cheat. You get the Space Docker by collecting all the spaceship parts hidden around the map, not with a code.

Best cheat combos for pure chaos

Cheats get really fun when you stack them. Try these mixes the next time you just want to break Los Santos:

• Skyfall + Parachute: Skyfall launches you high into the sky above the city. Activate the parachute cheat before or during the fall and you can pick your landing spot, or wait as long as you dare.
• Moon Gravity + Super Jump: Moon Gravity makes cars and objects float, and Super Jump sends you over buildings. Together, the city turns into a low-gravity playground.
• Explosive Melee + Invincibility: every punch becomes an explosion, and invincibility helps you survive the blast.
• Slow Motion + Explosive Ammo: turn on explosive ammo, then drop slow-mo to the deepest level for movie-style action shots.
• Slippery Cars + Wanted Level Up: start a police chase when every car handles like it is on ice. Pure comedy.
• Change Weather + Stunt Plane: cycle to a storm, spawn the stunt plane and try to land it in the rain.
