About chopper
Leonid Vishnyakov, known as chopper, is a Russian in-game leader who spent almost his whole top-level career building and steering the team around Spirit. He began on the Russian scene in the mid-2010s, played for Vega Squadron, and moved to Spirit in 2019, where he stayed through many roster changes. His calling style focuses on structure, patience and adapting to the strengths of younger stars such as donk and sh1ro. The payoff came in 2024, when Spirit won IEM Katowice and then took the Shanghai Major, the organisation's first Major, with chopper at the head of the team. He kept winning in 2025, adding titles such as IEM Cologne and PGL Astana. In December 2025 Spirit moved on from him, and he later took up a coaching role in mid 2026. His leadership matters because it turned a talented but inconsistent roster into a Major winner.
