Rockstar releases a launch trailer for GTA VI with an original Justice song

Rockstar Games released a new GTA VI trailer on October 15, 2026, with no advance teasing. Kotaku and gHacks report that it is billed as the launch trailer and the last one before release. Kotaku puts its length at about a minute and a half.

The trailer adds backstory for Jason, who says he got in trouble in the army and left on bad terms, so he cannot get loans. It shows shootouts, car chases and helicopters, and gHacks says it ends with the two leads jumping into a hotel pool. Lucia is described wearing a monitoring anklet, and the setup is an easy score that goes wrong and pulls the pair into a conspiracy across Leonida.

The music is original: 'Flower in a Hurricane' by Justice, featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. Rockstar says it will be on the official soundtrack. Earlier trailers used licensed songs.

What did not change: the release is still November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. No PC version, PC date, price change or new edition came with the trailer. Some headlines say the game has gone gold, but we could not verify that in the reports we opened, so we do not treat it as confirmed.

Our take: a final trailer 35 days out usually means marketing is moving into its last phase. The practical advice is unchanged. Use only Rockstar's official channels, and ignore anyone offering a 'full game' or 'build'. Our guide lists everything the trailer shows.

This is our short summary of a report from another site.
