Millions of PC players are asking the same thing: when does GTA VI come to PC? As of October 8, 2026, there is no announced PC release date.
Key takeaways
- Rockstar lists only PS5 and Xbox Series X|S for the November 19, 2026 launch.
- No PC release date or PC system requirements have been announced.
- Take-Two's CEO said Rockstar always starts on console and launches elsewhere over time.
- Any "GTA 6 PC download" is fake.
What Rockstar's page says
Rockstar's official GTA VI page lists only PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S for the November 19, 2026 launch. There is no PC version announced for launch, which also means there are no official PC system requirements.
What Take-Two said
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has said that Rockstar "always starts on console," and that the company launches on every platform with a meaningful audience "over time." That is not a PC date, but it explains why the console launch comes first. It also suggests a PC version may come later, though nothing has been announced.
Why there are no system requirements
System requirements are published when a PC version has a date. With no PC version announced, any "GTA 6 system requirements" list online is made up. Do not trust them, and never download anything that claims to be GTA 6 for PC. See our GTA 6 scams guide.
What PC players can do now
- Play GTA V roleplay. It runs on PC through FiveM, and it is bigger than ever. See the GTA RP server list.
- Watch GTA VI news and streams on Oggo while you wait.
- Consider a console if you want to play on launch day. That is your decision, and there is no pressure.

JVKSONdeWill there be a PC version?
Nobody outside Rockstar can say. When the company announces a PC version, we will post it here and on our GTA 6 PC page immediately.
What PC players can do right now
- Play GTA V Enhanced or Legacy. See Enhanced vs Legacy.
- Try GTA RP. It runs on PC through FiveM and the community is huge. Use the server list.
- Watch streams of GTA VI news and gameplay on Oggo.
- Keep your PC ready. A modern SSD and 16 GB of RAM are good for most new games, but wait for official requirements before you buy hardware for GTA VI.
Why companies launch on console first
Developers often start with a fixed hardware target, because it is easier to test and polish. PC versions follow later with extra options. That is a general industry pattern, and Take-Two's comments fit it. It does not tell us a date for GTA VI.
Warning for PC players
Because PC players are waiting, scammers target them with fake installers, "leaked" builds and "early access" keys. These often contain malware. Read our GTA 6 scams guide and never run files from unofficial sources.
