The Switch 2 ports
Nintendo Life reports that the RE2 Deluxe Edition, RE3 and RE4 Gold Edition arrive natively on Switch 2 on October 16, 2026. The UK prices are £34.99, £24.99 and £44.99. RE2 and RE3 were previously cloud-only on the original Switch, and RE4 is on a Nintendo console for the first time.
Which one first?
- RE2 remake: the best sampler of classic survival horror, with a police station and tight resource pressure.
- RE3 remake: shorter and faster paced, a good weekend game.
- RE4 remake: more action and the most modern feel. The Gold Edition adds the Separate Ways campaign.
