Rocket League Season 24 went live on September 23, 2026 at 9 AM Pacific time. Psyonix calls it the season that heads to the streets. This guide walks through what is new, which events are still running today (October 10, 2026) and what the official announcement does not tell us yet. Dates and rewards can change, so check the in-game news tab as well.

The big new features
Honor Duel
After a match you can challenge one player from the lobby to a 1v1. If they accept, you both go into a duel in the same mode as the match you just played. Other players can watch. It is a friendly way to settle an argument, and it also feeds a creator contest (see Rocket Rivalry below).
Black Market Trade-In
Trade three duplicate Black Market items and you get one back. It is either an item you do not own yet or a painted version you have not collected. This gives a use to extra drops that would otherwise sit unused in your inventory.
MVP podium and custom scoreboard
The end-of-match scene now puts the MVP on a podium and plays their goal explosion in the open net behind their team. You can also pick four stats per mode to show beside the score. Most career stats from your profile can be chosen.
Controls
Season 24 adds a Free Look camera that controller players can switch on too. Mouse and keyboard controls get modernized key bindings and more settings. Ranked changes: Top 100 titles
Players who finish in the top 100 of the ranked Soccar leaderboards for 3v3, 2v2 or 1v1 earn one of five exclusive titles, based on final placement. For 3v3 the announcement lists placements 100 to 51 for the "S24 3V3 TOP 100" title and 50 to 26 for "S24 3V3 TOP 50". Rocket Pass
The Season 24 pass has three new car bodies, plus wheels, boosts, decals, trails and goal explosions. Highlights named by Psyonix include Forewarned holographic wheels, the Synapse boost, the Vextor decal, Treadsparks trail and Anipop goal explosion.

The hitbox matters more than the looks. A car body with the Octane hitbox plays like the Octane, even if it looks very different. The announcement does not state the number of tiers or the Credits price, so we do not list them. The Epic Games Store page showed a Season 24 Rookie Pack at $1.99 and an Elite Pack at $9.99 when we checked on October 9, 2026. Both are optional, and the game is fully playable without them.

Run it Up has 14 challenges that reward Nova Collection drops, plus two titles that track your Season 24 wins and MVPs. The Nova items include the Ronin GXT car body, the Laser-Light goal explosion, the Neural Network decal, the InfoSec boost and the Fissure trail.
Bullet Ball was a last-car-standing arena mode in which a homing ball hunts one player. You could dodge forward to parry it, backflip into it to freeze it, or grab an opponent so they became the next target.
Persona 5 brings wheels, a boost, decals, a title, a banner and a repeatable XP reward through challenges. A paid Mona Car Bundle in the Shop adds matching items.
Creator features
Rocket Rivalry is a contest in which eight creators back players: JZR, ApparentlyJack, Tenacity, Forky, almost, Firewall154, Twisty and Crnovy. Points come from wearing their title and winning Honor Duels. The top standings lead to a showmatch in London, and the date was not given. Creators also share codes on YouTube and Twitch during the season. Redeeming one gives a drop between the Sport and Black Market tiers. Treat codes as free fun only.
What is not confirmed
- Season end date: not stated. One report suggests Season 25 may start on December 9, 2026, the day Run it Up ends. Psyonix has not confirmed it, so treat it as a rumor.
- Halloween event: a seasonal event is likely, but none was announced in the sources we read.
- Patch v2.77: Psyonix posted it on October 6, 2026. We did not read its full list of changes, so check the official post for details.
Common mistakes
- Buying the premium pass before you play enough to finish it. Check how many hours you can spare first.
- Missing a limited event because you only read the dates at the end. Note the end date the day it starts.
- Trading Black Market duplicates without checking the preview of what you already own.
