Forever is a version of WoW that looks back at the first era, with levels 1 to 60. Icy Veins lists nine classes, each with three specs. Roles in plain words
A tank holds enemy attention and takes hits. A healer keeps allies alive. Damage dealers kill enemies. In a dungeon of five you normally want one tank, one healer and three damage dealers. Specs such as Protection (Warrior and Paladin), Restoration and Holy are built for tank or healer roles, while Fury, Arms, Fire, Shadow and similar specs are damage specs.
How to choose a class
You want to play alone
Classes with strong self-sufficiency, such as Hunter or Warlock with a pet, are often listed as easy for solo leveling. This is opinion based on how these classes worked in earlier WoW versions.
You want to play with friends
Healers and tanks are the roles groups ask for most. A Priest, Paladin or Warrior can fill them and will find groups quickly.
You like fast action
Rogue and Mage give quick damage, but both ask for good positioning and care for health.
What we do not know
Blizzard has not published a class tier list for Forever. Websites that rank classes mostly rely on beta play and on older WoW knowledge. Balance can change before launch on November 4, 2026.

Icy Veins lists twelve professions: Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Cooking, Enchanting, Engineering, First Aid, Fishing, Herbalism, Leatherworking, Mining, Skinning and Tailoring.
