On September 24, 2026, Rockstar opened pre-orders for The Goodtime State: Vice City Collection, a collector's merch box for GTA VI fans. The price made headlines: $399.99. The most important detail is easy to miss, so here it is first: the game itself is not included.
Key takeaways
- The Goodtime State: Vice City Collection costs $399.99 and does not include the game.
- It contains 11 items, from a Macca the Gator figure to a double-sided Leonida map poster.
- It is listed as 18+ and is not eligible for free shipping.
- The store page shows no ship date or shipping regions.
What is inside?
According to Rockstar's store page, the box has 11 items:
- Macca the Gator figure
- Oakley Frogskins
- Leonida Keys crossbody bag
- New Era 9FORTY snapback
- Macca magnetic mirror
- Chunkee the Manatee shot glass
- Swizzle spoon
- Razor-blade keychain
- Enamel pin set in a tin
- Sticker pack
- Double-sided Leonida map poster
The collection is listed as 18+ and is not eligible for free shipping. The store page does not show shipping regions or limits. Forbes reports that it ships on November 19, but that comes from a single outlet and the store page itself gives no ship date, so treat it as unconfirmed.
How does it compare to the game price?
The game itself is listed at $79.99 (Standard Edition) and $99.99 (Ultimate Edition). That means the collection costs about five times as much as the Standard Edition, for merch only. See all editions on our editions and price page.
Is it worth it?
That depends on what you want:
- Hardcore fans and collectors: it is a limited-style box with several items you won't find anywhere else.
- Players who just want the game: skip it. It does not give you the game or any in-game items.
- Budget buyers: consider just the game, and maybe the album, for a fraction of the price.
Stay safe
High-priced collector items attract scammers who copy store pages and take payments without ever shipping anything. Check the web address carefully and read our GTA 6 scams guide before paying anyone.
While you wait
GTA VI launches on November 19, 2026. The collection might be a fun gift idea, but the best way to spend the waiting time is to check live streams from the community.

Questions to ask before you buy
- Do I want the items or the game? The collection is merch only. If you want to play, you still need an edition of the game, listed at $79.99 for Standard and $99.99 for Ultimate.
- Can it ship to my country? The store page does not list regions, so check the checkout page before you pay.
- What about customs and taxes? Outside the US, import duties can raise the real price.
- Is it a gift or an investment? Collector items can lose value, so buy because you like them, not to resell.
How to avoid fake collector's boxes
Every big launch brings copycat stores. A few rules keep you safe: only use Rockstar's official store, never click payment links in messages, be suspicious of any "discount" on a $399.99 item, and pay with a method that offers buyer protection. If you are a teenager, ask a parent before ordering anything at this price.
