Valorant is built to run on many PCs. Riot lists three levels of specs, each tied to a frame rate goal. We checked Riot's support page on October 9, 2026. Specs can change, so look at that page before you buy parts.

Key takeaways

  • Minimum specs target 30 FPS, recommended 60 FPS, high-end 144 FPS.
  • You need 64-bit Windows 10 or Windows 11 and DirectX 11.

Windows 11: TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot

Valorant uses Riot Vanguard, an anti-cheat system. On Windows 11, Riot says you also need TPM 2.0 and UEFI Secure Boot. Many PCs have them but switched off in the BIOS. Check your motherboard maker's guide to turn them on. This is a normal security setting and is safe to use.

Tips for smooth play

  1. Update your graphics driver.
  2. Close other apps while you play.
  3. Use a wired connection if you can; ping matters more than raw speed.
  4. Lower shadows and effects first if your frame rate drops.
