The Overwatch Champions Series, or OWCS, is Blizzard's pro Overwatch circuit. It started in 2024 after the Overwatch League closed. Anyone can try to qualify through open events, which makes it different from the old franchise league. Facts below were checked on October 9, 2026.

Key takeaways

The season has three regional stages and three big live events.
World Finals: December 2-6, 2026, in China. The host city is not confirmed.
Stage 3 regular season matches are scheduled for October weekends.
You can watch on Twitch, YouTube and other official channels.

How a season works

Each stage has a qualifying phase, a regular season and playoffs. North America and EMEA use six-team round robins, then playoffs for the top four. Korea, Japan, Pacific and China have their own formats. The top teams of each stage go to a global live event. Blizzard also has partner teams, now eleven, such as Team Liquid, Dallas Fuel, T1, Team Falcons and ZETA DIVISION.

The 2026 live events

Event	Dates	Winner
Champions Clash (Tokyo)	May 22-24	Crazy Raccoon, 4-3 over Twisted Minds
Midseason Championship (Esports World Cup)	July 29 to August 2	ZETA DIVISION, 4-2 over Twisted Minds
World Finals	December 2-6	Still to be played

The Midseason Championship had a $1,000,000 prize pool. Last year, Twisted Minds won the 2025 World Finals at DreamHack Stockholm. We did not find an official prize pool for the 2026 World Finals.
