Elden Ring Nightreign is a standalone spin-off released on May 30, 2025. It is not an open-world RPG. It is a run-based co-op game for up to three players, with a world that changes each time. The details come from Wikipedia, the Bandai Namco overview and the wiki.
Key takeaways
- Teams of three, or solo, play across three in-game days.
- The world, called Limveld, is procedurally generated.
- There are eight Nightlords and eight original Nightfarers.
- The Forsaken Hollows DLC added two classes and two Nightlords.
How a run works
Nightfarers come from Roundtable Hold and fight through three in-game days. After each day's mini-boss the circle shrinks, and the run ends with a Nightlord. Failed runs still grant relics, which help future attempts. There are four endings.
The Nightfarers
The original eight are Wylder, Guardian, Ironeye, Raider, Recluse, Executor, Revenant and Duchess. Try one or two before you commit.
The Forsaken Hollows DLC
Released on December 4, 2025, it adds the Scholar and Undertaker Nightfarers, the Nightlords The Balancers and The Dreglord, and a new Shifting Earth called The Great Hollow. It supports one to three players. The Everdark Sovereigns harder mode launched on June 19, 2025.
Price and requirements
Steam US price is $39.99, and the Deluxe edition at $54.99 includes The Forsaken Hollows. Minimum PC specs are an i5-10600 or Ryzen 5 5500, 12 GB RAM, GTX 1060 3 GB and 30 GB of storage. ESRB rates it M 17+ for blood and violence.
