AION 2 system requirements for PC

AION 2 is a PC-only release in the West and runs on Unreal Engine 5. The specs below come from the Steam store page, checked on October 9, 2026. They can change with updates.

Key takeaways

• You need Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit) and DirectX 12.
• Minimum GPU is a GTX 1050 Ti with 4 GB. Recommended is an RTX 2070 with 8 GB.
• Plan for 100 GB of storage. An SSD is recommended.
• On the minimum spec at Full HD, NC suggests Very Low graphics.

What this means for you

The minimum is modest for a modern 3D MMO, but the recommended preset is only Low at Full HD. Expect large cities and big realm battles to be heavier than solo questing. NC has not published numbers for higher presets on the store page.

Tips for smoother play

• Update your graphics driver before the first launch.
• Close browsers and launchers you do not need, so the game gets more RAM.
• If your PC is near the minimum, lower shadows and view distance before you lower the resolution.
• Use a wired connection when you can. MMOs depend on stable ping.

Where to install

You can install from Steam or from NC PURPLE. Put the game on an SSD if you can, because loading zones and flying across the large world read a lot of data.
