Cyberpunk 2077 is on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch 2 and Mac, and a Battle.net version is announced for later in 2026. Mac requirements

Steam lists macOS 15.5 or later for both tiers. The minimum is an Apple M1 with 16 GB of memory. The recommended spec is an M3 Pro with 18 GB. Storage is 92 GB. According to RPG Site, the Mac version arrived with Update 2.3 and is sold on the Mac App Store, GOG, Steam and Epic, and existing owners on those stores could download it for free.

Editions and prices

There are two products to know. The base game lists at $59.99 on Steam. Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition bundles the base game with the Phantom Liberty expansion and, per RPG Site, every update so far. When we looked, Steam showed both on sale with different discounts, which is a good reminder that sales change quickly. Always check the live price.

• Phantom Liberty: sold as a separate expansion, but it needs the base game.

Which version should you pick?

1. Have a gaming PC that meets the recommended spec? PC gives the most options, including DLSS and FSR upscaling.
2. Prefer a console? PS5 and Xbox Series X|S run the current version. Older PS4 and Xbox One versions are available but are weaker.
3. Want to play on the go? Switch 2 has the Ultimate Edition, listed on a 64 GB cartridge in earlier coverage.
4. Own an Apple silicon Mac with 16 GB or more? The native Mac version is an option.

What Update 2.3 changed for platforms

Update 2.3 arrived on July 16 and 17, 2025, the same time the Mac version launched, and it is a good example of why platform choice matters. According to RPG Site, it added variable refresh rate on consoles, new vehicles, AutoDrive, extra Photo Mode options, FSR 4 support and improved HDR settings, plus new quests. A display that supports VRR smooths the frame rate on console, and FSR 4 is an upscaling option for supported AMD graphics cards. The Switch 2 version came through the Ultimate Edition, which includes every update so far.

How to read the spec table

Minimum specs are the floor, not a promise of smooth play. Treat the minimum row as "it starts and runs at low settings," and the recommended row as the realistic target for a comfortable frame rate. A few practical points:

• Memory matters. The minimum is 12 GB, but 16 GB is listed as recommended, so a 16 GB PC is the safer choice.
• The graphics cards listed are broad, from older GTX 1060 class cards up to RTX 2060 Super class cards. Newer cards will run better.
• Storage must be an SSD. Free space of 70 GB is the minimum, and patches need extra room, so leave some spare.
• Steam's requirements can be edited over time, so open the store page before you buy.

1. Check the platform you own and the exact edition on its store page.
2. Compare the live price on at least two stores.
3. Check free storage against the 70 GB or 92 GB figure.
4. Decide whether you want Phantom Liberty. The Ultimate Edition saves a second purchase.
